ARMED REACTION

All of our staff are accredited members of the Private Security Industry Regulatory Association (P.S.I.R.A). Our Armed Reaction Officers have undertaken advanced driving courses and extensive training and are therefore qualified to deal with any security emergency.

They are in possession of all the necessary equipment, as required by (S.A.I.D.S.A) South African Intruder Detection Services Association, such as; bullet proof vest; two-way radio; first aid kit; pepper spray and fire-arms. Our vehicles have state of the art tracking systems.

Our fleet of vehicles have state of the art live tracking systems that provide our control room staff with an exact position of each vehicle. This facilitates a fast dispatch, with the closest vehicle to the activation being sent, reducing the response time dramatically.

Due to the fact that our Head Office is based in the centre of our operational area, our vehicles do not leave the area on shift change as is the case with other security companies.

FIRE AND MEDICAL RESPONSE

All of our Reaction Officers are trained and certified to deal with basic medical emergencies.

City Bowl Armed Response is the ONLY security company that has a dedicated vehicle for medical emergencies equipped with a comprehensive first-aid kit, oxygen cylinders and fire extinguishers. It boasts unparalleled response times; we would successfully attempt to stabilize possibly fatal situations in conjunction with emergency services.

24-HOUR EMERGENCY CALL CENTRE

City Bowl Armed Response has its own 24-hour manned Control Centre. It contains the most up to date, state of the art monitoring equipment and digital voice recording. It has a direct radio link with all our vehicles and foot patrols. It is situated in the City Bowl area, but at shift change over the vehicles do not leave the City Bowl, as is the case with other security companies.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

CBAR is an accredited alarm installer, that adheres to SAIDSA by laws pertaining to installations. Our highly trained technicians have been with the company for many years and are well versed with the various models of alarm systems in the market place. On completion, all our installations are signed off by providing the client with an official certificate which may then be forwarded to the insurer. This will satisfy them as they now have proof of the level of your installation and could afford you a discount on your monthly premiums.

CBAR’s technical department will service and repair your alarm system should it become defective in any way. Please note that your alarm is an electronic device and should be tested and serviced regularly as we are reliant on receiving all signals to provide a fast and accurate response.

GUARDING

CBAR’s guarding division have a number of guarding sites within our area of operation. This means that the levels of supervision on our guarding sites is of exceptional quality. Our armed response vehicles continuously visit all sites to check on the safety of our officers and create a visible security presence.

Our guarding staff are on the same radio frequency as our armed response fleet and should they require assistance in a duress situation, backup is only minutes away to deal with any armed/medical response. It is this exact synergy that places CBAR’s guarding division head and shoulders above other service providers.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROJECTS

Due to our geographical position it has for a number of years been CBAR’s obligation to become far more committed to, and involved in neighborhood watch projects. Many neighborhoods have in recent years become more proactive in fighting crime within their neighborhoods and CBAR has also been stepped up its level proactive security.

CBAR has been on call to provide assistance in situations that members of the community find themselves in, and require urgent and immediate assistance.

Together with residence in Oranjezicht/Higgovale (OH Watch), Devil’s Peak/Vredehoek (DPV Watch) and Tamboerskloof (TBK Watch) CBAR has been instrumental in assisting with numerous arrests that have been witnessed by members of these neighborhood watch programmes.

OH Watch and DPV Watch have provided our control centre with handheld radios which are on the same frequency as their members. These radios allow our control room staff to be in direct contact with SAPS and all the neighborhood watch members that are in possession of these radios.

Besides radio checks, our control room staff constantly monitor these radios, in the event that our assistance be required.
